Kanye West is always creating music one way or another. His newest album was released in 2008, and it was called 808s and Heartbreak. Before that was the CD Graduation in 2007.
"Graduation" was the third album Kanye released, and it was a change of style musically for him. Kanye takes a lot of digs at himself and not at others and that part of the music has not changed here. He seems to do a lot of chest thumping on this album and he feels that the music will not only work to take your mind off the traffic, but will also apply to the concert stage as well. The concept for this album came from Kanye feeling like he was finally graduating from "universe city". The music itself uses more sonic sounds then ever before and the electric tinge is present throughout, but he still keeps the soul sound he is famous for, and packages the whole thing like no one else can.
His fourth album, which was released just last year, is 808s and Heartbreaks. This was a challenge in itself because of the tragedy that Kanye had to face while trying to get the album done. His mom passed away and he had broken up with his fiancee, all in the same year. Many artists would have stopped and taken a break, but Kanye felt that this was the perfect way to express his feelings. This album does tend to show more emotion than any of his past releases.
