The group 3rd Eye Blind has been around a lot longer than most think, but did not become known until 1997 with their self titled album. From this first album, they had the hit Semi-Charmed Life that was on every rock radio station around. About every two to three years, they have released subsequent albums including such titles as Blue, Out of the Vein, A Collection, and the most recent being the three song EP Red Star. Ursa Major is the newest album coming up for release this April.
The Red Star album has the song Non-Dairy Creamer on it, which the band had been working on to get a specific sound. They recorded it live for the Ursa Major album. All three songs off of Red Star will appear on Ursa Major. Although the details on Ursa Major are sketchy, there are going to be 17 songs in all on the album. The group's post-grunge sound has caught on quite well with listeners across the globe despite the fact that Kevin Cadogan left the group in 2000.
There are so many different places to listen to their music online to decide if this is a band you want to purchase an album of. The lead singer is said to be a very emotional and spiritual singer, which should appeal to a wide range listener audience. The newest album promises to be another great hit with another interesting melding of sounds.
