Through iTunes you can create an apple account, which will allow you to access the iTunes music store, where you can buy music and videos.

To get iTunes all you have to do is go to www.apple.com and download it. Once you have done that you can begin importing your music from CDs as well as saved music files. When you want to buy new music from the iTunes store after you have created an apple account, you can log in and begin browsing for music. Once you find the music you are looking for you can buy it and it will automatically save to your iTunes.

When importing a new CD to your iTunes insert it into your laptop and click the insert button. Once your CD is done importing, your music will be saved to iTunes. Using iTunes you can sync your iPod and create playlists that will keep your music organized and constantly sync to your iPod when it is connected. You can even make CDs using iTunes by creating new playlists and then burning them to a CD.
