DVD Release "Frost/Nixon"

The movie "Frost/Nixon" is critically acclaimed and was nominated for numerous awards. It was considered a relative success in the theaters. However, like most movies, the release of the DVD in many ways is an even bigger deal for the financial success of the movie.
Universal Pictures will be releasing "Frost/Nixon" on DVD and BluRay on April 21, 2009. The pre-sales and pre-rentals for the movie are pointing toward a relatively solid release of the movie. The DVD itself will include not only the movie, but extras such as deleted scenes, a piece on the making of the movie, a conversation with director Ron Howard, the real interview with Richard Nixon and a piece on the Nixon library. The BluRay will have just a bit more included with its release. It will include all of the extras of the DVD release and in addition, it will also have a number of additions. These include a behind the scenes clip about the people and places behind the story, which sound like it is very entertaining and "The Nixon Chronicles," which will be of great interest to historians.
The release of the DVD and BluRay collections is expected to be very popular for a number of reasons. The historic value of the movie is very important to many people. Additionally, the overall performance and reality of the movie has many people interested in seeing the movie. It is expected that the release of the DVD will more than double the income that the movie will make in total.
