iTunes

If you are like most people, you hear a song on the radio and want to hear it again. You find yourself contemplating buying that specific artist’s compact disc. But when you realize that the CD is almost fifteen dollars, you start to question if it is a good idea. Are you going to like the rest of that artist’s music? What if you don’t? You will have paid fifteen dollars for one song! Well, if you have a computer and a connection to the Internet, you can download iTunes and then use that program to buy that one song you heard on the radio for a little over a dollar.

iTunes is a computer application that can be used on any computer, whether it is a Mac computer or a Windows computer. Once you have this application on your computer, you can organize, store, and buy music files, video files, and even movies. You can even purchase and download an entire television series. iTunes is primarily used in conjunction with an iPod or an iPhone, which use iTunes as an application.

Introduced by Apple in 2001, iTunes is now on version eight. When you log on to iTunes, it always checks and lets you know if there is a more recent version for you to download. If you are uploading a CD that you currently own, there is a program that will recognize your CDs and recognize each track, their titles, and the artist. It takes up to three minutes to upload an entire CD, which usually has around 13 tracks. iTunes works just as fast when you are downloading. After you select your song, that song will be in your library in around thirty seconds! And best of all, you will have spent around only one dollar.
