New DVD Releases

There were several hot new DVDs released in June of 2009. "Defiance", which is an action-packed drama starring Daniel Craig, Liev Schreiber, Jamie Bell and Alexa Davalos. This film was inspired by the true story of three brothers during World War II and is sure to tug at the heart strings. The movie is rated R and is a little over two hours long.

"He's Just Not That Into You" is a comedy which stars some big Hollywood names. Ben Affleck, Jennifer Aniston, Drew Barrymore, Jennifer Connelly and Kevin Connolly all star in this PG-13 comedy that revolves around several different love stories. The film was adapted from a best selling self-help book that was written by Greg Behrendt and Liz Tuccillo. The running time for this movie is also just over two hours long.

"Crossing Over" is a drama that stars Harrison Ford and Ashly Judd. This film is rated R and is almost two hours long. The movie is about the way of life for immigrants who want to pursue the American Dream once they arrive in Los Angeles.

A new DVD release in the drama category is called "Gran Torino." This film is about a racist Korean War veteran (Clint Eastwood) who is still struggling to forget the events of his past, especially what happened on the battle field. He is forced to face his prejudice ways when he meets a Korean teen from his neighborhood. This film is rated R and was directed by Clint Eastwood himself. The film is just under two hours in length.
