iPod Touch

In the world of computers and technology, it seems like as soon as you buy an item, a newer, more improved model is released. The first generation iPod Touch was released on September 5, 2007, while the second generation iTouch was released a year later, in September of 2008. Both models of the iTouch have a 3.5 inch wide screen and come in 8, 16 or 32 GB of memory.

The iTouch comes in one color only, black, and starts around $229. There are a few features that many people like. One in particular is that the screen is a touch screen. This iPod is very thin, measuring in at only .33 inches thick and 4.3 x 2.4 inches long and wide. The touch screen is made of glass and has a battery life of 36 hours of audio and six hours of video playback.

Another great feature that can be very convenient for many is that it has the capability to connect to the Internet for direct access to the online iTunes store, so that you can purchase music, videos and movies to directly download onto your iPod. This device also comes with an application called Safari web browser that allows you to view YouTube videos, email and Google maps.

According to several different sources, there is supposedly a new version of the iPod Touch that is going to be a much larger version of this already popular Apple device. The new iTouch is expected to be on the market in the fall of 2009, and is expected to have a 7 or 9 inch screen.
