The Black Eyed Peas are an American hip-hop group made up of four members, will.i.am, apl.de.ap, Taboo and Fergie. The band has been around since 1995 and has recently rejoined forces and released a new album titled “The E.N.D”. Over the years, the Black Eyed Peas have released many unique singles and their most recent is titled “Boom Boom Pow”. The song is considered to be in the electropop genre. The album version of "Boom Boom Pow" is 4 minutes and 15 seconds long, while the radio version is 3 minutes and thirty-eight seconds long.

"Boom Boom Pow" was released on March, 10th 2009 and in its first week it was downloaded over 465,000 times. The song recently reached over 2 million downloads, making it their most successful song to date. Since its release just nine weeks ago, the song has gone double platinum and has the highest sales of any song in the U.S. this year. "Boom Boom Pow" was produced by will.i.am and features singing by all four group members. The music video was released on MTV on April 8th and has a theme of transformation. The video simulates the digital afterlife of music and symbolizes that downloading is the future.

The hit song has not only had success in the United States, it is selling all over the world. “Boom Boom Pow” has reached number 1 on the charts in Australia, Belgium and Canada, making the Black Eyed Peas true international superstars.
