"Man on the Moon: The End of Day" is the first solo album by Kid Cudi. It is set to be released on August 25th, 2009. It is being put out by Universal and Motoron Records. Originally, it was to be called, "Man on the Moom: The Guardian". Kid Cudi was not quite satisfied with that name, so he changed it on May 24th, 2009.
Cudi has risen to fame very recently, only in the last couple of years. He sings Hip-Hop and is greatly enjoyed by the lovers of this form of music. On April 16th, Kid Cudi reported that for the last few days, he had been working in Los Angeles with Jean Baptiste till one in the morning to complete the work on his album. He seemed very pleased with the way it was coming along, and asked his fans to get ready for it. In his own words, he said, "My album will be nothing short of friggin' awesomely wicked". He further commented on how remarkable the sound tracks on this album will be. He guaranteed that they would love it.
On March 16, 2009 he announced, that after this album comes out he will be retiring from hip-hop. The reason he gave was, that there is too much stress in the music industry. He does not call it quitting, as he had already accomplished his goal. Then, on March 19th he confirmed that he will retire from hip-hop. He will still continue to perform on stage, and will be participating in the 2009 festival, which will be held in Austin.
