"Confessions of a Shopaholic" on DVD

The film "Confessions of a Shopaholic" is based on the first novel in the Shopaholic Series, "The Secret Dreamworld of a Shopaholic," written by Sophie Kinsella in 2000. The film is now available on DVD and Blu-ray wherever videos are sold.

"Confessions of a Shopaholic" tells the story of Rebecca Bloomwood (played by Isla Fisher), who is a spunky, fashion aficionada from Manhattan who has gotten in way over her head with her credit card bills. She has always dreamed of a life in the fashion world and so she sets out to apply to different fashion magazines including "Alette," the company of her dreams. After the position at Alette has been filled, the receptionist suggests Rebecca start from a smaller magazine and work her way up.

Rebecca had promised herself she would not spend any more money on unnecessary items, but after she sees a green scarf, she decides she must have it for her interview and ends up borrowing money from a man on the street. To her surprise, the man on the street is actually her future boss Luke Brandon.

When she finally lands a job writing fashion articles, it begins her roller coaster ride to success. The movie has some very heartwarming moments and is recommended for anyone who enjoys a good laugh and a shopping spree. For the full story and a very amusing movie experience, go on your own shopping trip and pick up the DVD.
