iPods

One of the most popular ways, if not the most popular way of listening to music other than what is on the radio, is by way of iPods. These were first introduced to the technology world on October 23, 2001.

Apple Inc. is the manufacturer of the iPod products, which have been designed to allow people the ability to listen to music, view photos, watch videos and even movies while on the go. These devices, which are classified as a portable media player (PMP), have sold millions of units worldwide since first being developed in 2001.

The greatest advantage of having an iPod, or other MP3 player, is that you can store thousands of songs on one tiny device, and the best part about it is that they can go with you everywhere. When the first iPod was released, it was called the first generation iPod. This model came in 5 and 10 GB, and had a battery life of about 10 hours. The iPod has come a long way since 2001. There are several different models available and they can come in various colors and sizes.

The newest and probably one of the most popular models available as of June 2009 is the iTouch. The iTouch has a glass touch screen and comes in 8,16 and 32 GB. They also have the option to connect to the Apple online store and also download music directly onto the unit itself rather than connecting it to a computer. Each iPod has its own unique features and are sure to bring a lot of entertainment to their owners.
