Apple has created many great portable media players including the iPod Shuffle, iPod Classic and the iPod mini. One of the more popular iPods that Apple has developed is the iPod Nano. This portable media player is different from the iPod Classic as it uses a flash memory rather than a hard disk as the iPod Classic does. Some of the Nano iPods come with a few pre-installed games. As the game feature is an advantage, the Nano does have its disadvantages as well. The battery of the Nano is quite hard to remove and replace manually. This is due to the battery being soldered to the circuit board. An even bigger disappointment with the Nano is that upgrading the storage capacity is almost impossible.
As well, the Nano is lacking remote connectors that let you connect it to any accessories. Newer upgrades have been developed for the Nano, giving more accessory options. Those who have an older Nano have fewer options. The super slim design is a great advantage as some people want a slimmer portable audio player. Having iTunes as its supplier of music is another fantastic advantage as iTunes has the largest selection of popular music. The battery life of the Nano is one of the biggest disadvantages of the player. This pricey and easily scratched player does have its drawbacks as well as its advantages.
But the slim design and the colorful screens are having customers overlook the disadvantages of this audio player. If you’re willing to spend the extra money on an audio player that is delicate and comes without a lot of accessory options, then the Nano is perfect for you. If you want a more durable and reliable iPod with more features and battery life, then you should think about passing the Nano and looking into other options that are available from Apple.
