"Push" on DVD

"Push" is a sci-fi adventure film similar to "Jumper" where there are a group of people with special powers in our world. These powers include movers who can move people, pushers can make people believe things and sniffers who can tell where objects have been by touching them. Dakota Fanning plays Cassie Holmes who is a watcher, they can see parts of the future for fleeting seconds.

The cast includes Camilla Belle playing Kira Hudson, Chris Evans as Nick Gant, Neil Jackson as Victor Budarin and Kai Cheung Leung as Dice Man. These characters, together with their younger versions and some interesting surprise characters, try to discover why these innocent people are being hunted by the United States government's mysterious Division.

These characters and their unique abilities are the offspring or the actual test subjects from the dark experiments the Nazi's performed. After the war, other governments seemingly took over and went beyond the simple Nazi goal of creating an ultimate soldier.

Written by David Bourla and directed by Paul McGuigan, this movie has a long list of producers indicating the many locales needed to shoot this film, which includes scenes from all over the world. There are plenty of cool stunts and special effects. Neil Davidge provides the original music score.

The story line is deep, but the probability of a sequel spread this film to its limit. As with most films, those that enjoy the genre will find plenty to enjoy. Those that don't get into it, may not.
