HP Mini PCs

The HP mini PC is the latest tool for the on the go business person, journalist or military person. The small 2.89 pound units boast a 10.1 inch flat screen and a keyboard that is 92 percent as large as a full size laptop. A full GB of ram and a 160GB hard drive, microphone, web-cam, stereo speakers and wireless LAN are built into the 1.04” X 10.3” X 6.77” package. The main purpose is to provide the busy on the go person with a convenient tool for keeping in touch.

The 1.6 Gig Intel processor and Windows XP service pack 3 operating system provides the speed and power to use the standard productivity applications and surf the web. The integrated Syncables application syncs files, pictures and videos with your desk top PC or primary laptop when part of the same network. More and more, the Internet becomes important for email, banking, shopping, instant messaging, research, video chats and social networking. The HP Mini PC is the ideal tool for built in still-image capture, web conferencing, video enhanced instant messaging capabilities. Add both video and still pictures to presentations and email.

There are three models of the mini PC at this time ranging in cost from $340 to $415, but some E-commerce sites offer bargain prices. Even at the listed price, these minis are a lot of computer for the dollar. Compared to the lowest priced desktop at $600, the mini does everything most people do with their PC and it’s very portable.
